Angel Matos displays his sportsmanship

Angel Matos complains to the referee

Cuba’s Angel Matos deliberately kicked a referee square in the face after he was disqualified in a bronze-medal match. The sidekick prompted the World Taekwondo Federation to recommend he be banned for life, but awarded praise by Cuban leader Fidel Castro.

A tournament official announced the life ban for Matos and his coach over a loudspeaker a few minutes later. Later World Taekwondo Federation admitted the due process could take a couple of weeks.
